WW - A woman in the "Medina"

A woman wearing the traditional Tetuaní-dress (i.e. the dress women in Tetuán used to wear). Nowadays women usually wear dresses in different colors, the traditional dress was always grey and hid not just the hair but also most of the face (only the eyes showed).

I love this photo! It was taken one day when I was walking in the "medina", the old part of the city, and I came across this woman. I wonder where she was going, what she had in her plastic bag, what she was thinking about.... I'm sure the history of her life is very interesting and a lot different from mine. I just wish I could speak Moroccan well enough to talk to the older women and tell their stories.

This is a very powerful picture. This clothing always reminds me of how timely and timeless the past is in our present.

That is an outstanding picture...and, as you, I wonder where she is going, what she is carrying, and such. Very nicely done!

Hi mayogi,
Sometimes I meet some ladies from the Middle East dressed in such clothings, walking around in Singapore. I'm curious as to their looks and how they feel in such clothes.

That was a interesting shot of the lady. :)

Enjoy the rest of the week.
